Every negotiated B2B order, finished as an approved checkout.
Our long-term bet on Shopify Plus, AI-assisted commerce operations, and the future of procurement-grade ecommerce.
1. Quote-to-checkout becomes the standard
Within five years, manual B2B quoting in mid-market commerce will look the way manual invoicing looked in 2015. The work doesn't disappear, it gets encoded into systems that enforce rules and produce auditable orders.
2. Shopify Plus is the enterprise B2B platform
Shopify's investment in B2B is structural. The opportunity isn't to compete with the platform, it's to extend it where complex procurement workflows demand more than native primitives.
3. AI assists humans, not replaces them
Quoting is a judgment-heavy job. AI should give sales and finance teams sharper signal, margin floors, anomaly detection, contract conflicts, without removing accountability.
4. Rules belong at checkout, not in inboxes
If a discount, MOQ, PO requirement, or term is real, it should be enforced at the moment money moves. Anything weaker is an honor system.
If this vision matches how you see B2B commerce evolving, we'd like to hear from you.
Do your approved B2B quotes still become manual Shopify orders?
We are interviewing Shopify Plus merchants and agencies to understand where RFQs, approvals, contract rules, and checkout handoff break down.
